We can see that "Short form of movsx, dst_reg = (s8,s16,s32)src_reg" in include/linux/filter.h, additionally, for BPF_ALU64 the value of the destination register is unchanged whereas for BPF_ALU the upper 32 bits of the destination register are zeroed, so it should clear the upper 32 bits for BPF_ALU. the simult xmit self-tests fail [more badly] if the used links are asymmetric.
It looks like the current heuristic (round robin on writable links) tends to load more the slower links: much more pkts are present in the slower link write queue at shutdown(SHUT_WR) time.
Instead the packet scheduler should try load each subflow proportinally to the subflow sndbuf size
