Update from UX:

New copy for when people don't have a collection:

Collect the things that matter to you

Group together similar searches, sites, and tabs for quick access later.

  • when people don't have any open tabs, we hide the button

User Story

As a user, I want the no-collections placeholder to guide me on how to build a collection, so it is easy for me to try out this feature.

Acceptance Criteria

I know what Collections are and how to build one.

*Since the "Create Collections" button is no longer on the homescreen, we may want to re-think the no-collections placeholder copy OR consider adding a Create Collections button to homescreen.

@betsymi this is the issue we chatted about yesterday. We need this copy to make it easier for users to discover and understand Collections.

Hi, verified as fixed on the latest Nightly Build 200624 from 6/24 using the following devices:
• Google Pixel 3a (Android 10)
• Huawei Mate 20 Lite (Android 9)
• OnePlus A3 (Android 6.0.1)
