I am Morris Chan. People are usually shocked when they first hear about my academic background. I did my Bachelor's in Psychology at the University of Hong Kong and my Master's in Data Science at the University of British Columbia. People always ask about the connection between Psychology and Data Science. Well, in fact, many of the advanced statistical modeling methods are invented by psychologists too. I am deeply interested in the quantitative methodologies in the study of the human mind. It makes me what I am today, a data scientist with a multidisciplinary background, which I think it pretty cool!
