Mandatory Update
This is the first version of MobileCoin Wallet (aka Desktop Wallet) that works with MobileCoin Core (Consensus and Fog) v6.
- older versions of MainNet Desktop Wallet will stop working with the next MainNet deploy, which is tentatively scheduled for early June 2024.
- This version is compatible with the current MainNet and TestNet.
- older versions of TestNet Desktop Wallet no longer work at this time.
Mainnet Desktop Wallet should update automatically to v1.9.1. Testnet Desktop Wallet will require manual downloading and re-installation.
Database Upgrade
When this version of Desktop Wallet first runs, it will need to upgrade the wallet database.
- a full resync will take place between the ledger database (local copy of the blockchain) and the wallet database.
- there is a progress indicator that will advance from 0% to 100% as the synchronization is performed
- the progress indicator updates every 30 seconds, please be patient
- resync speed is dependent upon your machine speed and wallet complexity

WARNING: Prohibited users cannot use the MainNet wallets per MobileCoin's Terms of Use. The wallets will error in prohibited locations
Developer Use
Below are Desktop Wallets builds for developers and testers that transact on an alternate MobileCoin blockchain called TestNet.
Note: TestNet MOB and MainNet MOB are not interchangeable and the TestNet blockchain may be zeroed, reset, or discontinued at any time by MobileCoin Inc as part of its testing. Only use TestNet and the corresponding downloads for testing purposes.
