Mixxx slows down and cursor disappears when touching EQ filters #10715

Commented by: nprevail To my understanding, the cursor should disappear when you're in the middle of "holding left click" on an EQ knob. I believe Traktor does the same thing as well. When you let go of "left click," the cursor should reappear unmoved from the EQ knob, and should work as a regular cursor. Are you saying that when you "tap left click" over an EQ knob, the cursor disappears and never reappears? |
Commented by: niendorf21 @nPrevail that's correct, when you left click the eq knob while under load, the cursor disappears and never reappears. |
Commented by: nprevail So it looks like the cursor gets placed beneath the Mixxx GUI, but it's still functioning in the background... Can you try replicating this issue in "Maximized window," but not "Full Screen" view? I feel like I came across a similar issue to this, and the temporary solution was "don't use Full Screen," so I just maximized the window in Linux. |

Hi! Running Mixxx on my MacBook and it runs very slow—there's a delay in most actions and the waveforms look "jumpy" due to delays.
The biggest issue, however, is that when two tracks are playing and I touch an EQ knob with my cursor, the cursor disappears. Sometimes it reappears, but for the most part Mixxx becomes unusable.
I just reset my Laptop to factory settings so the only thing on it is Mixxx and ~80 songs.
I've attached a screen recording—if you see my cursor disappear, that's the bug.
