Create a wiki document that describes the SSH commands which we will keep stable for external use as well as including a short description and their parameters.

If this wiki is of interest to you, please thread commands you would like to see included.

Thanks!

Hi, as discussed could you document these commands:

  • opensshremotes.openEmptyWindow
  • opensshremotes.openEmptyWindowInCurrentWindow
  • opensshremotes.cleanRemoteServer
  • opensshremotes.cleanDevBox

Thanks in advance

Closes #7549
We got this request from an extension developer, in addition to just writing this doc we would have to commit to maintaining these functions. I think this is reasonable given how vital they are to the core functionality of the Remote-SSH extension. If this is carried through, comments should be added alongside the functions and the interface to alert future developers.

hello again @colas31! We are working on finalizing and releasing the doc with stable commands. Do you currently use opensshremotes.cleanRemoteServer and opensshremotes.cleanDevBox? What do you use them for? We would appreciate an example as we are trying to determine how to communicate these. Thanks

hello @colas31, I just wanted to follow up and see if you are using the commands opensshremotes.cleanRemoteServer and opensshremotes.cleanDevBox. If I do not hear from you in the next week I am going to leave them off for now as to reduce the number of commands we declare stable for now but can add it later if it is being publically used. Thanks
