Az login issue

I am trying to login with my azure account (on lab portal while using vs code) to use the azure storage resources, but I am unable to do so because of the following error.
browser window opens and shows an error saying login.microsoftonline.com sent an invalid response. Unable to continue the exercise without it. When tried using device code it shows SSL protocol error on the browser. Please suggest!

Hi Alex, By lab portal I meant the one with vs code training access provided by Microsoft for cloud skills challenge. The same error occurred while doing the same on azure cloudshell. Thanks Siddhartha Sharma
