Repro Steps

Following instructions from https://docs.microsoft.com/pt-br/windows/wsl/install
wsl --install returns 'An unrecoverable error occurred during installation. Component: 'Virtual Machine Platform' error code: 0x80070490
Element not found.'
Switching to manual installation from https://docs.microsoft.com/pt-br/windows/wsl/install-manual , run the first command
dism.exe /online /enable-feature /featurename:Microsoft-Windows-Subsystem-Linux /all /norestart that returns
'Error: 1168
Element not found'

WSL installed

When dism shows error it means something critically wrong happen in the system. Clean install is the shortest & quickest way I know.

@Biswa96 but how can I do that? Is it easier if I reinstall (format) my Windows?

After a clean install the installation was successful.
