How to make sensor state Unknown based on another dp

Hello,

I have sensor which report light intensity and I want to make this sensor unknown if string dp 63 eq none.
Unfortunately this way it's doesn't works.
Please advise.
PS: With commented mapping it's make sensor unknown if value eq 300001

Try this instead:

I trying to make Light intensity sensor to report real value if com_index dp is not none, and report Unknown (Unavailable) if com_index dp is none.

DP specification from Tuya (com_index can't be none, but it's reported as none in case of connectivity problems):

Sorry I just copy and pasted from your example without checking the syntax, thinking the "none" was the only issue.

Each entry in a mapping needs a - at the start. Even when there is only one entry in a mapping.

        mapping:
            - constraint: com_index
              conditions:
                - dps_val: null
                  value: null

Thanks for solution and sorry for my mistake. I change dps_val to none and now it's works as expected.
The dps com_index should be defined in every dps section where I want to use this mapping and no way to have com_index defined "globally"?

Sorry, more confusion on my part. I assumed that "none" meant the Python None, which is null in other languages, including yaml. If it is the string none, then you should use it literally in yaml.

dps listings are per entity, so if you want to use this across entities, each entity will need to define it in its dps list.
