The ideal dev experience for a new contributor should be less than 3 steps. So, we should ensure that they don't have to search around for how to fill all environment variables.

The biggest blocker here for R2-D2 is the Facebook environment variables. Would love some creative solutions here : )

Hey, Rohit here. I would like to be assigned this issue (first issue). Also, just to clarify, I can only see three env variables (the facebook ones) on the template that can have defaults. The rest don't exactly need defaults right?
