Shows the favicon of the signing domain before the From address. This makes it easy to recognize that an e-mail is signed by the correct domain. The favicon has a tooltip with the detailed DKIM result.
Note that a favicon is only shown if it is available via one of the following ways:
- The domain is together with the favicon in an internal list of the add-on. The process and requirements for adding new domains can be found at https://github.com/lieser/dkim_verifier/wiki/Contribute#sign-rules-and-favicons.
-
Brand Indicators for Message Identification (BIMI) (since version 5.4.0). This requires the following:
- Reading of the Authentication-Results header is enabled.
- The used mail server supports BIMI.
- The signing domain supports BIMI.
This is to ensure there is a trust relation between the signing domain and the favicon, so malicious domains can not show the favicon of another domain.
Option available since version 1.6.0.
The following display option was removed in 4.0.0. Re-adding is tracked in #237.
