Install oh my zsh

Set up spaceship/customized theme on oh my zsh

Clone this repo:

git clone https://github.com/denysdovhan/spaceship-prompt.git "$ZSH_CUSTOM/themes/spaceship-prompt"

Symlink spaceship.zsh-theme to your oh-my-zsh custom themes directory:

ln -s "$ZSH_CUSTOM/themes/spaceship-prompt/spaceship.zsh-theme" "$ZSH_CUSTOM/themes/spaceship.zsh-theme"

Set the zsh theme in .zshrc:

ZSH_THEME="spaceship"

Go to .oh-my-zsh/custom/themes/spaceship.zsh and override the custom spaceship_zsh-theme

Install powerline font:

clone

git clone https://github.com/powerline/fonts.git --depth=1

install

cd fonts
./install.sh

clean-up a bit

cd ..
rm -rf fonts

Auto suggestions for Oh My Zsh:

$ git clone https://github.com/zsh-users/zsh-autosuggestions $ZSH_CUSTOM/plugins/zsh-autosuggestions
Note: $ZSH_CUSTOM/plugins path is by default ~/.oh-my-zsh/custom/plugins

Add the plugin to the list of plugins in ~/.zshrcconfiguration file :

plugins=(
    …
    zsh-autosuggestions
)

Restart terminal

Syntax highlighting:

$ brew install zsh-syntax-highlighting

open ~/.zshrc and place at the end of the file

source /usr/local/share/zsh-syntax-highlighting/zsh-syntax-highlighting.zsh

restart terminal
