Can we list all contributors? #1730
Comments
To be fair and neutral we would either need to list the contributors to all certified EE implementations or none of the contributors of no certified EE implementations.
For example, Red Hat provided the Jakarta EE 10 Core Profile implementation that allowed that spec to go final. If our goal is to thank the contributors that make our ecosystem possible, they should be included.
If the goal is to only show contributors to implementations at Eclipse, then it's not neutral.

However the ask is now to list all EE4J contributors, create Our Contributors item under Community drop-down on https://jakarta.ee/ <https://jakarta.ee/>

Similar to this https://microprofile.io/contributors/ <https://microprofile.io/contributors/> but in Jakarta EE style

We do not have insight in contributors of all certified Jakarta EE implementations. I hope we can list contributors in the Eclipse Foundation for all EE4J projects, however if our members have similar pages listing all people who worked on their Jakarta EE certified implementations, we can always point to it. |
It's not clear to me how we should fetch this information. The community did contribute a script to help generate a contributor list for the yearly Jakarta EE release pages: The data generated from that script is committed here: Can we solve this issue by fetching and displaying all the unique users from each release? |
Let me think this through as I do not think that would give us all EE4J contributors.... |
