This document (the README file) is a hub to give you some information about the project. Jump straight to one of the sections below, or just scroll down to find out more.
Understand the jargon
We are working with the community and partners to build a platform where three workshops are developed and translated into Mexican sign language: entrepreneurship, Deaf leadership & assertive decisions and a biology content workshop. These workshops must be supported by using digital images, recorded videos and some digital exercices that deaf users must rasonate like ethic, logic and enviorement problems. So that the deaf users can exponentiate their visual and pragmatic skills by interacting with this platform. We are especially interested to approach the community of deaf women so that they learn to do something different like autoesthemm by these contents.
• Appreciate and accommodate our many cultural practices, attitudes and beliefs. • Be open to learning from others. • Lead by example and match our actions with our words. • Work in hormony as community.
The problem
86% of the Deaf Mexicans do not access the school even with hearing aids (these figures are based on 3-24 years old grange). Morever, only the 14% of the Mexican deaf workforce legally works (these figures are based on 22-63 years old grange).
The solution
The Deaf.'s learning environment is by visual channel (Oxford, 2012). Consequently, visual technology is one of the solutions to improve the training of the Deaf. and promote their access to technical learning. Therfore, a solution to the Deaf´s illiteracy and lack of Access to qualified worforce among Deaf Community is to improve the working tools of the Deaf Communityand support in the internet as a means in this improvement.
-
Improve visibility for Deaf. Community, researchers and developers by making a platform that is easy to use and interact either for Deaf. and everyone who wants to learn more about Deaf Culture and benefit from didactics.
-
We will keep values of undestanding, sharing and promoting participation in benefit of the Deaf Communities.
-
Allow anyone to add researchers so that the platform can grow without relying Deaf. promoting themselves. Allow crowdfunding.
-
Apply an innovative Content focus of the platform are workshops designed to Deaf Community. These workshops are: entrepreneurship, deaf leadership and assertive communication and a biology content workshop
-
Our propose is to improve the qualitiy of opportunities of Deaf. by creating a Monzillas’ community for it.
This platform must be built by multidisciplinary interaction and the users who must proved the efficiency are deaf. Every step has to be proved with a Deaf user or Deaf mate in the Project because we have to asure that the content is understandable to Deaf Community. We also need to know that some communities in Latin America do not access the internet. How to solve it? One idea is that the platform has programs that are downloadable without internet but this problem must be analyzed and solved as a team.
We are forming a group of people to design workshops on the Web for the Deaf Community ir order to have more tools for self-employment by generating a business, tools of interpersonal communication and knowledge of Biology. So, if you're on the web, join us!

The development of this patform is mentored by Monica Bonilla, incredible profesional linguistic.
You! In whatever way you can help.
We need expertise in fundraising, platform development, user experience design maintenance (particularly ensuring the highest quality of recorded activities for workshops and data protection plans are in place), software sustainability, documentation and technical writing and project management. If you are interested to promote activities and attitudes so necessary for the Deaf. souch as: what does it mean to communicate empathically? Which are the healthy limits in a relationship? How can I build an orchard in the garden or in the community to sell or eat its products? Does someone explain me what menopause means? How does the brain work? What does the synapse mean? Why is a person depressed? The content is creative information explained to the Deaf. If you're looking to learn to code, try out working collaboratively, be challenged and heart touched by diference and get some experience in inclusion or translate you skills to the digital domain and to the searching for crowdfunding. In all cases we want you to join us!.
We need:
- Hardware
- Development
- Design
- Two video cameras or cell phones of good resolution.
- Website for the digital data platform
- A Mexican Sign Language interpreter
You can contribute by supporting us to implement digital content for this platform designed for a community or school where deaf student or users can establish their business project and search for a bureau of companies that buy the products and services. A plataform where creative biology contents be developed. As a platform that we will design, we commit ourselves to obtain the accreditation of socially responsible companies to the contributors. All this information and experiences will be uploaded to our digital platform. Dev or Publisher can contribute with the workshops by supporting a high resolution video camera. They can contribute by supporting the recognized users of the platform to carry out business practices and leadership in recognized companies.

Bilingualism: applied to deaf people. It refers to the use of the Deaf community language (the SL sign language) and the language of the hearing community in its written form, that is, the oral language (Baker; 2006; CNSE; 2002; Fernández Viader &Yarza, 487-506).
Bilingual education: we refer to education in at least two languages, one of which is the students’ first language. Sign Language SL is the native language of the Deaf. (CNSE; 2002; Cruz-Aldrete; 2009; Fishman, 1988; Grosjean, F., 1992; Fernández-Viader, 1999, 45-50, 64; 2006, 487-506; Massone, M. I., Simón, M. & Druetta, J. C. ,2003; SEP; 2012).
Sign Language / Signed Language: A system of hand movements used for communication especially by people who are deaf and it is the official language of Deaf Communities.
The way to direct this project is by organizing ourselves in community. There will be a total of 4 areas within the community project:
-
Content of the workshops,
-
Administration of the platform
-
Area of culture, education and validation
-
Partner networks. There will be two group meetings each month. The workshops will be applied in a single experimental site and then, it will be replicable.
