- Think about what you value in a job (i.e. autonomy, team atmosphere, flexibility in work/projects...)
- In the long term, intrinsic rewards (i.e. purpose) prevail over extrinsic rewards (i.e. compensation, title, prestige), refer to the book Drive by Daniel Pink
- Live your life with whatever hand you're dealt with (i.e. ideas of individuation by Carl Jung, MTG colour pie & reacting accordingly based on who one is). Accept yourself and learn to manage the traits that make up who you are, as opposed to trying to change yourself. A lot of why life is hard, is because we try to live it alone.
