Made some changes to make DOOM work on Ubuntu #2

Hi, I'm a newbie to open source. I took this as an exercise to make DOOM run on Ubuntu.
I found a couple of issues. Running 'make' as is was failing. Done some changes to Makefile and some of the sources to make it build.

Also when I ran DOOM within the Xephyr window in Pseudocolor 8bpp mode, the colormap wasn't being picked up. Made a change to correct this.

@tbradshaw Hey, have you looked this over? Is it going to get pulled, or would you rather we use @sanilrocks' fork if we run into issues?

Hi guys,

As of now, the projects on github in the id-Software organization are just online archives of the initial releases, so that they are easy to fork and develop on. It would be fun to actually maintain them as living, open source projects, but I don't think that's in the cards for now.

Cheers and happy hacking.
