Confirmed. The game flashes to black during the first segment when you're given control of Snake, and stays black. Can't see anything.. Can be rectified by disabling Buffered Rendeing for now. Tested on 0.8.1-41 on windows. |
The issue is a lot worse now in the latest revisions. (0.8.1-6xx) Even turning off buffered rendering still causes the black flashes to occur, in addition to the missing textures and other graphical anomalies. I notice a lot of ridiculous and nonsensical FBO embiggenings in the log console when the black flashes occur, I think that they could be the cause of this issue:- Video of the issue, courtesy of lainiwaku from the ppsspp.org forums, who brought this latest development to my attention |

This specific issue has been mostly resolved since v0.8.1-738-g0cbe0dc. The game doesn't flicker to a black screen anymore, even when Buffered Rendering is ON. This can be closed now, since there are other issue pages (like #1884 and #1202 to cover the remaining issues that the game has, e.g. missing textures, 20 FPS rendering etc. |
Metal Gear Solid Portable OPS blackout in beginning of game. Its issue occurs in later 0.7.6 -1500 svn versions.
