Description of problem:
There's no way to specify the path component of the influxdb URL - so an installation that does not map to / does not work.
Additional information:
There's an open pull request for the influxdb client: influxdata/influxdb-python#556

There hasn't been any activity on this issue recently. Due to the high number of incoming GitHub notifications, we have to clean some of the old issues, as many of them have already been resolved with the latest updates.

Still an open issue. It's fixed upstream in influxdata/influxdb-python meanwhile. Unfortunately I have currently no time to create a PR - hope i find some spare time in the next few weeks for it.
