Does it also work with counts? 10 (before pressing j), I like that behavior from vim since you can confirm where you're jumping to.

It works with counts now, and fixed a regression from the keymap PR where counts were not passed on to multi key mappings.

Escape clears it, but only because it's not mapped to any other key (it's the same in vim too).
