I like this approach! Just need to put up lots of flags, bells, and whistles throughout to give the user lots of warning that if they use this, sensitive stuff will be logged. Might be good to litter it in the README and/or any other places the user might look as well. I know some of that will need to be in Vault, so would be separate from this PR.
