Hello there – 

Thanks for the PR here. We're aware of an issue with security groups and in-line rules like this. For now, we're encouraging people to group them but long term we do plan on recommending against it. I realize it's a back-and-forth for now, but we're working to address it as soon as possible.

For now, I'm going to go ahead and close this though, as in the near future we plan on making the behavior match the docs.
