Description

There is no support for all available maxmemory policies. When I'm trying to use for example allkeys-lfu I got an error:

Error: Redis Max Memory Policy can only be 'noeviction' / 'allkeys-lru' / 'volatile-lru' / 'allkeys-random' / 'volatile-random' / 'volatile-ttl'

However there are more available options:

Affected Resource

  • azurerm_redis_cache

Potential Terraform Configuration

resource "azurerm_redis_cache" "redis" {
  name                = var.name
  location            = var.location
  resource_group_name = var.resource_group_name
  capacity            = var.capacity
  family              = var.family
  sku_name            = var.sku_name
  enable_non_ssl_port = true
  minimum_tls_version = "1.2"

  redis_configuration {
    maxmemory_policy = "allkeys-lfu"
  }
}

This has been released in version 2.11.0 of the provider. Please see the Terraform documentation on provider versioning or reach out if you need any assistance upgrading. As an example:

provider "azurerm" {
    version = "~> 2.11.0"
}
# ... other configuration ...
