Overview

All members of Hack for LA need to have 2FA in their Github. Most new members need instructions for doing this. Create page for website.

UX Writing:

  • Evaluated existing materials, identified and located missing information, created new presentation recommendations to reduce security compliance time and improve onboarding experience.
  • Communicate to funders, potential volunteers, and other interested stakeholders the specific value delivered by Hack for LA membership to workforce development goals.

UI Mockup:

  • Design security compliance guide to improve new member onboarding and expand website assets.
  • Communicate to funders, potential volunteers, and other interested stakeholders the specific value delivered by Hack for LA membership to workforce development goals.

Developers:

  • Create a new collection in Jekyll / GitHub Pages to organize and deliver guide content to website
  • Used Liquid and Vanilla JS to create new website content
  • Integrate data from API to display real-time statistics of GitHub 2FA security compliance at initial onboarding to increase awareness of membership value

This will be the first of many guides. So like the project homepages and project cards, we will probably want some standardization, so that we can build from mark down files (like we have for the projects) to feed this design.

it looks like the action item is for me to review this and see if there are any changes required. Also the next developer who has to do this @hannahlivnat should review it as well, and see if it makes sense to her, since she is doing this now.
