Objectives

  • Ensure volunteers are achieving their goals
  • Deliver value to Hack for LA stakeholders or end-users
  • Ensure the team is running efficiently and effectively
  • Create inclusive opportunities for professional development

Getting Started

  • Read the Project Sheet
  • Once you have completed Onboarding, Slack Our PM asking if there is available volunteer opportunities.
  • Join the #community-survey slack channel and introduce yourself
  • Accept your Google Drive invite to access the shared folder and begin reviewing the content.
  • Add yourself to the Team Roster. Then, Slack our channel with "Added to Roster".
  • Enable Two Factor Authentication on your Github Account - Refer to Hack for LA's 2FA Guide.
  • Review our Project Management Board, UI/UX Board, and Development Project Board to get familiar with current initiatives.

Team meetings

  • Weekly Team meets weekly on Monday's 12pm - 1pm PST via Zoom.
  • The First Monday every month, only the PM's meeting with Bonnie happens to plan ahead for the rest of the week.
  • Team does not meet the week of Thanksgiving - 11/22 - 11/28.
  • No meetings Occur during the month of December.
  • Team Meets the first Monday in January after the holidays.
