Overview

This issue is to track our communication with Capital Placement in a chronological order so that we know what has been said at any given time.

Action Items

• Create a timeline format for everyone to use (see below, this will work fine)
• Bonnie go through emails and add to the time timeline (can be done at anytime)
• Go through internship account and add to the timeline (can be done at anytime, not dependent on Bonnie)

Timeline

• 2022-05-16: We reached out to Capital Placement via email to ask if we could list their internship program on our website for TWE internship applicants who were not accepted into our program.
  • We also asked clarification on logistics of their internship program: do they offer academic credit? What are your hours and process of providing support to interns e.g mentoring?
• 2022-05-17: Capital Placement Customer Experience Associate Thashuki responded to us to set up a 15 minute Zoom call with founder Vinay.
• 2022-05-25: Vinay sent Google Calendar invite to TWE PMs for a 15 minute Zoom call for the following week.
• 2022-05-30: Vinay met with TWE PMs during Monday meeting.
• 2022-05-31: Vinay followed up with TWE PMs with the following message:

Hi Bonnie, 

It was great speaking with you yesterday and learning more about Hack For LA and all the great work the volunteers do.

To recap our conversation;

We offer both remote/ virtual and in-person internships for current university students and recent graduates in London, New York and Singapore. 

On our remote program, almost all of our remote internship programs are paid and the stipends vary from $400 - $4000 p/m, depending on the candidate's academic background and past experiences. 

For our in-person programs, all our internships over 3 months are paid and will pay at least $2200/ £1500/ S$1500 per month and are designed to be financially sustainable for the candidates while they are doing their internships to cover their living expenses. 

We cover all industries except hospitality and medical related internships. 

We would love to work with Hack for LA and would be happy to contribute a % back in donations to the organization, to help as many candidates get into tech as possible.

Update:

1. Progress: issue created based on other correspondence issues (see IS22: Correspondence between Brentwood School and the Internship team #116 ). Made note of all correspondence between this partner and [email protected].
2. Blockers: needs Bonnie to fill in any missing emails (if applicable). Otherwise, this issue is done!
3. Availability: I am leaving HfLA (for the time being), so I can not work on this any longer! It needs to be followed up on by another PM.
