Netmaker UI v0.26.0

Whats New

  • Tag Management System. Admins can now tag devices on their networks, enabling clustered management.
  • Revamped ACLs. Access Control now supports more advanced features like allowing traffic between specific users and tagged device groups.
  • Simplified User management with sensible defaults for groups and roles (Network Roles has been hidden now)
  • A small but fresh new look has been introduced to the UI. This will be a gradual change, and more updates will be coming soon.

What's Fixed/Improvements

  • Added descriptions to user management tabs and some Network tabs for better UX.
  • Ephemeral ghost rows in Network Nodes tab has been resolved.
  • Tenant ID/server IP now shows in the UI sidebar. This is to help users connecting with RAC.
  • CPU usage is unnecessarily high when a network is opened.
  • "Global Hosts" have been renamed to "Devices" for better clarity.
  • Inacurate device metrics
  • Minor UI/UX bug fixes and improvements

Known issues

  • Graph page crashed when WebGL is not enabled. WebGL is required for the graph page to work.

Netmaker UI v0.25.0

Whats New

  • Revamped User Management. This addition simplifies user administration by allowing admins to create and control user access based on their roles. Users can also be grouped for easier management.
  • A more helpful dashboard. Users can now see the status of their networks and resources at a glance.
  • Fix ephemeral data leak between users. Now, users will only see the resources they have access to.

  • Minor UI/UX bug fixes and improvements

Whats New

  • Static enpoints and ports can now be set separately for hosts. This is useful for users who want to expose services on their hosts, on defined ports.
  • Enhanced network setup wizard. The network setup wizard now supports more usecases: setting up internet gateways and how to connect a site to a network.

What's Fixed/Improvements

  • Improved failover experience. UX for setting the network failover host has been made more intuitive, with a badge easily identifying the acting failover host.
  • Default RAC and Netclient download links to .exe versions rather than .msi counterparts.
  • Reordered the network page tabs for better user experience. Host tab now shows first.
  • Minor UI/UX bug fixes and improvements

Netmaker UI v0.24.1

Whats New

  • Usecase-based guided tour for new users. This is to help new users get started with Netmaker UI. (from v0.24.0 hotfix)
  • Users can now set additional endpoints for a Remote Acess Gateway (RAG). This is to enable remote clients to react a Netmaker network through multiple IP addresses an RAG supports. They then get the option to choose which endpoint to connect to with our Remote Access Client (RAC)
  • Less strict IP address validation for network creation. Users can now use any valid IP address for their Netmaker networks. This is to allow some reserved public IP ranges to be used.
  • Sign in with OAuth/OIDC is now a Pro feature. Upgrade your Netmaker server to enjoy this feature.

What's Fixed/Improvements

  • Pure IPv6 network UI/UX fixes.
  • Fix bug with restarting a faulty server.
  • Fix broken version upgrade feature, due to changes on Github.
  • Reactivity fixes on user management: transfering superadmin priviledges.
  • RAC linux download link now points to docs. Using a package manager (apt/rpm) is the recommended way to install RAC on linux.
  • Minor UI/UX bug fixes and improvements

Netmaker UI v0.24.0

Whats New

  • New OAuth users will now join a waiting list. Admins can approve or reject these users. This is to prevent unauthorized users from joining the server, improving security.
  • Networks with over 50 hosts should now use NMCTL to manage ACLs. This is for better UX and also to circumvent performance issues.
  • UI will now notify admins of any new version to the server. This is to help admins enjoy new features and fixes in subsequent releases.
  • Instructions to add RAC mobile hosts to the network are now available in the UI. It can be accessed via the "Add new host" process.
  • QR codes available for RAC mobile download. This is to make it easier for users to download the RAC mobile app by scanning.

What's Fixed/Improvements

  • Fixed bug with egress creation.
  • Automatically update server tier status; whether CE or Pro.
  • Host search now inlcudes name, IP address, ID and others.
  • Performance improvements with large networks. Especially with the ACLs page.
  • Minor UI/UX bug fixes and improvements
