When run at the same commit (c9d5638), this test passed in one build (Build Status, Sponge) and failed in another build (Build Status, Sponge).

I'm not sure why this started to flake suddenly, but I suspect that something elsewhere started pushing processing onto another tick. It looks like there's Zalgo in this test code.
