code review of the large pull request #32 with notes of changes in #33

This has spawned issues #34 #35 #36 #37 and resolved issues #8 #10 #28

Updated version of pyPAGE to include features in ipage2


Rerouted PR to secondary branch. 
Going to test the API on that branch and merge into main afterwards
