If there’s not enough time it’s becuase someone’s not getting enough money.

To be clear: if the goal were $10,000/mo for a full time dev and some help, that would be a reasonable goal. There just needs to be a goal and someone in charge who knows (or is willing to learn) how to manage resources to produce results that benefit the community with an acceptable margin for waste / mistakes.

Closing this as the blocker to self-hosting right now is some bug fixes, and resolving some outstanding security issues. But we've definitely taken your input and have tried to make the opencollective more known (mentioning it in blog, in the readme, and other venues).
