I stumbled upon this: haskell-infra/www.haskell.org#292
which is a PR to the haskell.org website which got merged which adds a fun little easter egg where
when you enable a certain parameter like this: https://www.haskell.org/?uwu=true
It would display an alternate anime style logo for Haskell.
Since we already have such a logo thanks to @giacomocavalieri I thought why not add a similar easter egg here?

I am not very familiar with HTML/CSS/JS so I will probably not be the one opening a PR, but this seems like a fun idea to join in on!

As fun as that is, we would first have to properly license the font before putting it in gleam's website (like the Vue people did: https://x.com/vuejs/status/1786443259902050562?s=46&t=zQmFdOw3Cvn7tQlSHtNrZg)

I'm not sure it would really be worth it, though

I think I'd like to have easter eggs that are unique to Gleam (like the existing ones!) rather than copy Haskell

rather than copy Haskell

If it is of any help, we would not be copying Haskell, there is also:

I think it would be a nice little easter eggs for those in the know but I understand if Gleam needs to spend its limited resources on more useful endeavours.

Let's close this as we have our own easter eggs and this meme has somewhat moved on

@lpil lpil closed this as not planned Won't fix, can't repro, duplicate, stale Aug 2, 2024
