Improve workspace status indicator accessibility #4225

Problem to solve

The current workspace status indicator is based on color changes which can make it inaccessible for color-blind users, especially those with with red-green color-blindness (deuteranopia).

Proposal

This could potentially a) use more accessible colors or b) use shape-based indicators.
