LocalPaste is a lightweight pastebin which can be hosted on a RaspberryPi.
$ git clone https://github.com/girish946/local-paste
$ cd local-paste
$ python3 -m venv env
$ source env/bin/activate
$ pip install -r requirements.txt
If you are using pipenv
, the instructions are as follows.
$ git clone https://github.com/girish946/local-paste
$ cd local-paste
$ pipenv install
$ pipenv shell
$ python startLp.py --port 8000
Using gunicorn
$ gunicorn wsgi:app -b 0.0.0.0:8000 --workers=2
using Docker
You can build the docker image.
# build the image
$ sudo docker-compose -f docker-compose.yml build
# run the docker container
$ sudo docker-compose -f docker-compose.yml up
Or you can pull the docker image from docker hub using
$ docker pull girish946/local-paste
For initial setup (ie. creating tables), once localpaste is running.
$ cd tests
$ python testLP.py
or go to http://0.0.0.0:8000/api/CreateDb
from your browser.
- Create, Update, Search and Delete the pastes.
- Syntax heighlighting while viewing a paste.
- Copy the paste to clipboard from the gui.
- REST API.
- Can be hosted on a low power machine like (RaspberryPi/OrangePi).

LocalPaste uses the Black python code formatter to keep coding style consistent; you may wish to have it installed to make pull requests easier.
