Gazebo-classic has a button to take a screenshot of the current 3D scene and saves it to a common folder:

We could create a similar widget for Ignition. It would ideally work with both ignition::gui::plugins::Scene3D and ignition::gazebo::Scene3D. It could emit an ign-gui event for that.

It would be nice if the tool let the user choose the directory to save to though.

Another really cool feature would be capturing gifs 😏 This probably warrants its own issue...
