Description

@kushaldas discovered in upgrade testing that intel-microcode cannot be updated due to its dependency not being in trusty-security repos:

#3946 (comment)

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Install prodVMs with 0.10.0
  2. Upgrade to 0.11.0-rc2 via apt-test.freedom.press
  3. observe securedrop-grsec-4.4.162 not being fully installed

Expected Behavior

Packages should be upgraded and intel-microcode package should be installed.

Actual Behavior

intel-microcode is not installed and securedrop-grsec-4.4.162 is not fully installed.

Comments

We should remove for the purposes of 0.11.0, and reopen #3663
