Problem

Individual messages within a conversation pane for a single Source, may need the following actions taken against them. How to best achieve?

  • Delete
  • Export (to single vm, or to a menu to select optional VMs)
  • Copy (to global vs app vm clipboard?)
  • Show/Hide (?)
  • Mark as unread

Solution

One will be needed, let's design it!

A static "More" menu is one option.

Another pattern to consider is the hover-over icons/menu, such as seen in Slack.

  • Menu appears in top-right corner of message whenever hovered-over
    • Frequently used actions appear as icons w/in the menu
  • More menu is an option w/in that cluster of icons
  • When clicked on, menu remains open
