In freedomofpress/securedrop-export#94 we remove the necessity to handle .ppd files ourselves, as CUPS handles printer drivers directly. So if/when this gets merged, we should update the dependencies for securedrop-export accordingly.

We will continue to use .ppd files for now due to problems printing without them - closing.
