OBD data recording

OBD data recording will be automatically started when AndrOBD is switched to any OBD data display (OBD data list, graph or gauge).

AndrOBD records all data of the current drive cycle which is selected for display.

Every change to a different OBD mode (like fault code, vehicle information, etc.) will discard the recorded data, so recorded data should be stored before any mode switch!

Hint:
The easyest/safest way to store a road trip is:
* connect to vehicle
* start data mode
* switch display off
* stow recording device
* drive the car safely
...
after reaching destination
* Store data
* analyze / graph

Storing data

Recorded data can be stored to SD-card by menu function save measurement while in data display mode. All data is stored by date/timestamp in app-specific format into directory /com.fr3ts0n.ecu.gui.androbd/ on your SD-card.

Loading stored data

Stored data can be loaded again for off-line analysis / graphing. To do this:

• select menu function load Measurement
• select corresponding .obd file from /com.fr3ts0n.ecu.gui.androbd/
• analyze ...

Sharing data in CSV format

Measured data can also be shared in CSV format.

In order to share CSV:

• select data items to be shared
• change to Chart display
• select share icon
