@luckyparadise Can you do a check-in on the status of the different FIPs that are in scope for this nv23 network upgrade timeline? So that we have a sense of what can realistically land given the above Code Freeze date? |

Given the delay in shipping nv22, I am proposing a revised but (tighter timeline) below: Code freeze: 23 May 2024 This means all FIPs in consideration must enter Last Call by 8 May 2024. |

This strikes me as a reasonable adjustment, accounting for the nv22 delay but only partly propagating it forward. Assuming we're able to meet this schedule, we'll be able to get back to the original schedule for nv24. I wouldn't discount things sliding further, though, and would generally consider any postponement <5.5 weeks to go in the right direction. |

@luckyparadise People might get confused, given it's the name of the most widely spread Linux distribution, though Filecoin Ubuntu upgrade might get some sysadmins curious! How about |

I'm not sure how relevant the name clash with Ubuntu Linux is. Perhaps we shouldn't go there, but it'd be a great name for an upgrade: it captures a lot more meaning than just fellowship. |

As mentioned here, I would like to proactively propose to core devs & the community that we consider a F3-dedicated network upgrade as soon as the implementation is final. Having to wait till June would be undesirable for the network, and it blocks many ecosystem opportunities towards Filecoin network, like faster deposit of FIL at exchanges for token holders, Defi, DEx, bridging, IPC subnet checkpoints and so on. |

I agree with having the timeline driven by the implementation but we also want to minimise uncertainty for governance stakeholders and other FIP authors. Let's revisit this decision once we have a reasonably firm implementation plan rather than after everything is done and dusted. |

Update: At this point, we are targeting FIP-0086 mainnet deployment in nv23. This may be followed by full activation in a subsequent upgrade, providing for a period of F3 running at full scale on mainnet but not controlling the fork choice. |

Hi folks, I would like to propose NI-PoRep to be considered for inclusion in nv23. It seems that having this feature implemented in Filecoin in crucial for the unlocking the full potential of SaaS (Sealing as a Service). See for example here cc @rjan90 |

Set of accepted FIPs awaiting implementation (from @luckyparadise 's most recent weekly update, less nv22). My default expectation is that all are automatically in consideration for the next upgrade, and to be included unless there are strong reasons not to. FIP0065 - Ignore built-in market locked balance in circulating supply calculation (FIP)(Discussion) FIP-0067 is also in this set, but due to its nature, acceptance doesn't mean we necessarily need to ship code for it right away. |
