RAD FAQ: New new site content (stage 5) #3923
Comments
Met with Don Michael to discuss the plan for Bitcoin and Lobbyist Bundling page updates: Bitcoin (Don)The bitcoin guidance we have available to us is all derived from AO2014-02. The guidance doesn't differentiate between the reporting entity type (PAC, Party, or Candidate) so our new pages will differentiate by Form type and no further. We will proceed with creating three new reporting example pages that directly mirror the existing Candidate committee reporting examples (Contributions, Liquidations, Investments). The new reporting examples will be hosted on wagtail under H4CC > Nonconnected: Filing PAC reports and the links will be added to each of the guides for committees that use F3X in the Filing Reports section, Reporting Example subsection (Nonconnected, SSF, Party) Lobbyist/Bundling (Brad)The Lobbyist/Bundling page we have is thorough and linked to from each applicable guide (candidate, non-connected (leadership PACs), and party committees). The remaining decision to be made is whether we break out the reporting advice from the general guidance page so there is a reporting example for F3L in each guide's reporting example page and link to the reporting example from the guidance page. TBD. Thanks @dorothyyeager for the consultation (and the user insight) to help us move forward on the Bitcoin content. |
Received three draft pages for Bitcoin reporting to review (thanks Don!). I emailed images to @jjonesfec asking for them to be adapted into the style for the site. Once images are received I will distribute the pages to the content team. |
Jim promptly asked for feedback on a draft, after a few days I was able to give him the go ahead on his edit. Should be able to distribute drafts of the new bitcoin pages in the next few days. |
Received edits from content team that were incorporated into wagtail. Will publish after moving them from Non-connected filing to the general H4CC parent so they don't specifically say they're non-connected reporting examples. |
RAD managers requested final review before publication. Waiting for approval prior to publication. |
@bmathesonFEC I moved this to blocked 13.8 from 13.7. Please let me know if it should go elsewhere |
Received feedback with some small-ish edits but one of the edits requires image changes. Details have been sent to Jim. Ready to publish and close once I discuss relocating the pages from |
Hmmm, that's a good idea. A lot of the nonconnected PAC and SSF examples are the same and publishing them there would make the URL make more sense. And then you could link them in the reporting examples part of both nonconnected and SSF. |
Replaced image on page with updated image. Once we figure out the relocation of the pages, we can publish links and close the ticket. |
Blocked by #4218. Bitcoin examples must be moved to be child pages of the new reporting example landing page. |
The Form 3X Bitcoin examples have been made child pages of the newly created All Reporting Examples page. Links to the three bitcoin examples have been added to the nonconnected, SSF, and Party committee filing pages. |
Summary
Some reporting advice in the RAD FAQ is not represented elsewhere on fec.gov. In this sprint content related to some specialized topics, bitcoin and form 3L, will be evaluated.
