The Record news articles are in their new home in latest updates, but it's desirable for various reasons to maintain the archive (for example, for historical or legal research purposes). The questions presented are where this archive should be housed and in what format.

Currently, the Record archive index is housed on the transition site. On the transition home page, we are linking to the current website for anything published in the Record from 2005 on. We have a separate link to an archive page - the Record archive index - for Record issues from 1977 to 2004. (The page in question is https://transition.fec.gov/pages/fecrecord/fecrecord.shtml.)

In order to move this page off of the transition site, we will need to figure out a home for it on the new website. (The PDFs of the past issues themselves have a home already in a folder created by @patphongs, so it's really just this index page that needs a place to live.)

Possible steps:

  1. Identify possible locations on FEC website. (User testing may be needed.)
  2. Build new page for index if it's determined that is what's to be done.
