Only for;

  • at_AT
  • bg_BG
  • es_ES
  • fr_BE
  • fr_FR
  • it_IT (vatId)
  • nl_BE
  • nl_NL
  • pl_PL (taxpayerIdentificationNumber)
  • zh_TW

For example, running the en_US locale on magento2 platform now gives an error for quote, customer & order groups.
