UX issue, somewhat difficult to explain. This can be reproduced with logstash data.
On the discover page, when there are more than 500 results, the results are truncated and a footer witht a "back to top" link appears.
The data come in at chunks of a few hundred rows at a time. The footer gets "pushed away" by the new rows. Then you have to scroll more. The footer appears again. And pushed away again by a new batch of rows. Eventually, you reach the bottom, and the footer shows.
The severity depends a little on the browser. IE11 is jerkier than chrome for example.
