Which index the result is from seems to have the highest sort priority, so it seems impossible to e.g. have the result sorted chronological.

Ah, I see whats going on, you're looking at 2 different indices that match logstash-* and we don't resort results from Elasticsearch when sorting by time. Definitely a bug.
