Hey @stefnestor We intentionally omitted a deprecation admon here. While we deprecated the freeze endpoints/actions in 7.15+, we're delaying deprecation of the unfreeze API until 8.x. Although freezing new indices is discouraged, users may still need to unfreeze older frozen indices as an "escape hatch." You can see the whole deprecation plan here: |

Nevermind what I said. @danhermann pointed out that this API is in fact deprecated. However, we do still plan to remove the unfreeze API after other freeze endpoints/actions are removed. I'll make a few small tweaks and get this merged in. Thanks @stefnestor. |
