What should be done
- Partially support K8S
- Support self-managed (self-hosted) platforms like RedHat OpenShift.
- Support cloud providers like Yandex and GCP
Boundaries
- We support K8S cluster only in self-manager cluster and VM. We don't support K8S cluster in cloud-managed clusters like GCP, YC, AWS etc because of the issue with UE-subnet routing.
- So when we install eUPF on cloud provider resources we use VM and docker image to run it.
EPIC DoD:
- eUPF works in self-hosted virtual environment (like RedHat OpenShift or any other)
- eUPF works in K8S cluster on the self-hosted (self-managed) VMs
- eUPF works in Yandex Cloud
- eUPF works in GCP
