What should be done

  1. Partially support K8S

  3. Support cloud providers like Yandex and GCP

Boundaries

  1. We support K8S cluster only in self-manager cluster and VM. We don't support K8S cluster in cloud-managed clusters like GCP, YC, AWS etc because of the issue with UE-subnet routing.
  2. So when we install eUPF on cloud provider resources we use VM and docker image to run it.

EPIC DoD:

  • eUPF works in self-hosted virtual environment (like RedHat OpenShift or any other)
  • eUPF works in K8S cluster on the self-hosted (self-managed) VMs
  • eUPF works in Yandex Cloud
  • eUPF works in GCP
