As part of a DDRF proposal, GSL has agreed to produce a METexpress app to display statistics produced by using MET MODE to verify precipitation and reflectivity. This app will be the eigth in the METexpress suite.

Acceptance Testing

All automated browser tests must pass upon completion

Time Estimate

~1-2 weeks for the app, too soon to say for the ingest.

I am currently working on a metadata script for this app.

The metadata and client-side code work for MET MODE.

Most statistics are working for MET MODE, but I am still implementing Jeff Duda's homebrew ones.

To clarify the above, Jeff Duda is re-calculating some statistics that are already in the MET output. He says that this is because the MET versions are grid-to-grid for any grid cell that contains a portion of an object, but he wants to purely compare object-to-object. I am therefore replicating his methodology in METexpress.

The app is pretty much done, just needs to have the code cleaned up and commented, an manually checked for bugs. The ingest in the process of being set up on Jet.

The app has been completed with the last of Jeff Duda's requests. I created a pull request, and Ian looked it over and provided feedback. I addressed that feedback, and am now waiting for the pull request to get final approval.

Our beta tester has given approval to this app, database slowness aside (which is not really app-related, and is tracked in issue #67 ), so I am closing this issue. Any future bug reports or feature requests can have their own issues.
