i installed the tool by acident and now the MacBook doesn't boot

Maybe this can help you fix it: Did you try to boot in Single user mode? http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1492
Then:

/sbin/fsck -fy
/sbin/mount -uw
cp -r /Users/YourUsername/KextsBackup/ /System/Library/Extensions
reboot

Now hopefully your mac should work again.

But be careful! You can break things ;) Hope that helps.

Arxigo, could you please provide more details, e.g. Mac model and year.
A fix was released in v.1.0.1 that prevents pre-existing variables to be erased from the NVRAM. This might apply to your case, please try again with that version and report it here.

Please have a look at this article which explains a workaround ("Recovering from stop sign on boot screen"). I've referenced it in the README as well.
