Since go-github uses a pattern of frequent major releases, it doesn't get auto-updated by dependabot like other dependencies and Go considers each an entirely different package. Usually, your app code needs to pick one version of go-github to use for a while unfortunately. I bump this periodically (but infrequently) to stay relatively up-to-date, but don't aim to always be on latest since its manual toil. |
