the user will still need python, java installed like normal. But this should work directly from the applications folder.

I'm not understanding this, and I have Intel MBP from mid 2020. The M1 jar files and standard or legacy jar files don't run for me either even with java installed. your dmg file doesn't work or me either as I guess it's M1. Can you point to where or how I can get this running on Intel based MBP? Your version is literally 7.1 and 7.2 came out a week after your post too lol.

I shared the script I used to make this in this thread on gbatemp

It also has instructions on how to use it to make the .app if you need 7.2
or the non m1 version in an .app you can use the script

So, I installed python on MacOS (I don't even see the application icon) and I don't actually know what to do with the code u post on gba lol..
