- You must import (and have built) all the projects in eclipse_subprojects into your workspace.
- You must import them while within in AndroidQuickstart/YOUR_PROJECT_NAME/ directory when using the Eclipse import dialogue, or things will go awry with path directories.
- Import only 'google_play', 'PagerSlidingTabStrip' and 'android-support-v7-appcompat' and ignore the rest
- You must only then import the YOUR_PROJECT_NAME project
- You must remove the 'res' and 'AndroidManifest.xml' symlinks else IntelliJ will complain
- Then import the project as a Gradle project
